Terms of service

Sidik Dokumen makes copies of a document with a different hidden mark for each recipient, and checks documents for that mark. Sidik Dokumen is run by CERIS.

Hidden marks help trace where a leak came from, but cannot guarantee that every copy can be traced. A mark can be lost if a document is retyped, printed and scanned, photographed from a screen, or recompressed. A check result is a lead, not the only proof. The About page explains the limits.

The free version works without an account. If you create one, use an email you can read and keep your password secret. You are responsible for use through your account.

Only you know your owner keys and vault passphrase. If you lose them, we cannot recover them.

Uploading documents that break the law, or that you have no right to share.

Uploading harmful files, or trying to break into, overload, or get around the limits of the service.

Using check results to threaten, harass, or accuse people without grounds. Any follow-up to a leak must stay within the law.

We may limit or end access if these terms are broken.

Prices and what each plan includes are on the Pricing page, in rupiah. A plan runs for 30 days from when we confirm your transfer and does not renew automatically.

Moving from Lite to Pro: your remaining paid Lite days come off the Pro price. Buying Lite while Pro is active: Lite starts when Pro ends.

If prices change, periods you have already paid for are not affected.

Within 3 days of the plan starting, and if fewer than 5 documents have been marked, you can ask for a full refund.

If the service can’t be used for more than 24 hours in a row because of a problem on our side, your plan is extended by the length of the outage. If you prefer your money back, we refund it pro rata.

Outside these two cases, payments are not refundable.

There is no automatic billing. A plan simply ends if it isn’t renewed.

We work to keep the service running, but there can be outages or maintenance. For an outage of more than 24 hours in a row on our side, the refund terms above apply.

We are not liable for indirect losses, such as lost profit or data, arising from use of the service. Our liability is at most what you paid us in the last 3 months.

Keep your own original documents. Copies on our server are deleted when their download window ends.

Your documents remain yours. We only process them to run the service.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Indonesia. We will first try to settle any dispute by discussion.

If these terms change, the date above changes too. We announce important changes on the site before they take effect.
